Cult favourite A.Au is undoubtedly one of the fastest-growing African owned fashion brands. Led by Asiyami Gold the brand prides itself on its handmade pieces that are influenced by global experiences exuding effortless independence and spirited freedom.

Jackie Aina, Zerina Akers, Somkele Idahlama are among the IT girls who love A.Au’s dreamy designs. The brand recently unveiled its new collection tagged Eela and each piece embodies a graceful silhouette through clean lines, delicate pleats and figure-flattering clinches.

Speaking on the new collection, Asiyami wrote:

Eela is a term that originates from the Abua language, spoken by a small minority of people in Southern Nigeria. It means ‘wealth’ in the complete sense of the word. The pieces in this collection are an embodiment of this said word, of the beauty and sense of internal wealth that is translated to the outside with each wear. While wealth in itself may have varied interpretations, it is essentially the sense or reality of abundance. Each handcrafted piece in this collection is aimed at arming the wearer with an abundance of confidence and awareness of self-worth as if to say – I have arrived.
