In a rare collaboration between a womenswear and shoe designer, Angolan fashion favourite Mariângela Almeida, debuted a collaborative project with Angolan shoe designer Nayma Izata earlier this year.
In a press statement from the brands they presented the Holographic Dreams collection saying:
As perfectionists by nature, it took time but it’s finally arrived. Collaboration between Nayma Izata and Fiu Negru, “FNXNZ”, reflects the transparency of the two brands, hoping thus to emanate light wherever they go. FNXNZ PRESENTS: “HOLOGRAPHIC DREAMS”
Made entirely from reflective perspex, the collection features flats and pumps, photographed against a dark background, presumably to highlight its lightness. Mariângela Almeida also added
You can not imagine how proud I am to be part of this project. It’s as if I’ve reinvented myself, and every time I look at the models, I fall in love more and more. Definitely one of the best jobs I’ve ever done! Once again @naymaizata_oficial well done!
