Lagos Fashion Week’s CRAFTED: Heritage. Innovation. Circular Futures. theme encouraged designers to explore the many ways heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary ideas can shape fashion. Cute-Saint brought this conversation to the Spring/Summer 2027 runway with Mo Sá, Mo Wò, a transeasonal collection rooted in childhood memories and the cultural heritage of the Egungun tradition.

The title, which translates to “I ran, I watched,” offers a glimpse into the memories behind the collection. Founder and Creative Director Muftau Femi Ajose describes it as a love letter to the experiences and cultural references that shaped his childhood. Through exaggerated silhouettes, expressive volumes, vibrant colours and intricate layering, he reinterprets the movement, mystery and magnificence of Egungun through a contemporary lens.
Bold prints, tie-dye treatments and artisanal textile techniques bring the collection together, moving between fluid pieces and more structured designs. Cute-Saint also uses the collection to explore masculinity beyond conventional expectations, embracing softness, fluidity and ornamentation as equally valid forms of self-expression. It adds another perspective to the season’s exploration of how cultural heritage can inform contemporary African fashion.
