At Ojude Oba, accessories are never an afterthought. In fact, they might just be the main event. While the rich fabrics, dramatic silhouettes and coordinated traditional looks always command attention, it’s the finishing touches that truly bring the fashion spectacle to life.

This year, the festival grounds were filled with every accessory imaginable. Bejewelled purses swung elegantly beside richly embroidered aso-oke, sequinned fila caps shimmered under the sun, while coral beads stacked high around necks and wrists added a regal finish to already breathtaking looks. Then there were the walking sticks, stylishly carried like heirlooms, and the dainty umbrellas that somehow managed to feel both practical and impossibly glamorous.

Ojude Oba has long evolved into one of Nigeria’s biggest style showcases, where dressing up is part of the cultural experience itself. Nobody comes subtle and honestly, that’s the beauty of it all.
