Nigerian design label Dye Lab and Cape Town–based ethical accessories atelier PICHULIK announce a limited-edition collaborative capsule collection that unites two women-led, African-founded brands around a shared commitment to heritage, sustainability, and contemporary design.

Inspired by a mutual passion for traditional techniques and modern design, the Dye Lab x PICHULIK collaboration merges Dye Lab’s vibrant textile language with PICHULIK’s signature sculptural forms. The collection celebrates creative exchange across the continent, demonstrating how distinct African design traditions can meet to create something new.

Rooted in ethical, small-batch production and locally made processes, both brands approach design as a means of preserving craft, empowering women, and strengthening creative ecosystems across Africa. The collaboration reflects these shared values, translating them into a range of accessories that feel purposeful, expressive, and deeply connected to place.

The capsule revisits the bold, rope-intensive aesthetic of PICHULIK’s early years, reinterpreted through Dye Lab’s maximalist colour sensibility. The result is a collection that feels both nostalgic and contemporary, grounded in cultural storytelling while designed for everyday wear.

The exclusive range features neckpieces, bracelets, and earrings crafted using repurposed rope, semi-precious stones, brass elements, and the vivid palettes synonymous with both brands.

Highlights from the collection include:

  • Calabash Earrings – Sculptural earrings crafted in Africa using hand-wrapped rope and semi-precious stone accents, finished with nickel-free gold-plated hooks and designed as lightweight statement pieces.

  • Olori Neckpiece and Bracelets – Bold accessories built through artisanal rope-braiding techniques and cast-brass elements, individually handmade to bring texture and colour to elevated styling.

  • Hibiscus Necklaces – Textural collar necklaces combining braided rope construction with glass bead detailing, carefully hand-finished and designed for effortless everyday wear with brass magnetic clasps.
