Diarra Bousso, a serial entrepreneur, creative mathematician, educator and multidisciplinary artist, was the latest Designer in Residence selected to join the San Francisco Fashion Incubator supported by Macy’s and located in Bloomingdales, San Francisco.

This represents a major milestone for the former Wall Street trader who left her career in finance to explore Mathematics, Education and Design. Diarra recently completed her Master’s in Mathematics Education at Stanford University and decided to become a Mathematics Educator while also structuring a conscious contemporary lifestyle brand, DIARRABLU, around the use of Math algorithms. The brand is now hosted at Bloomingdale’s San Francisco with an on-site studio and showroom where the designer will receive support to grow her business through resources and mentorship from top Silicon Valley executives in Finance, Marketing, Strategy and Operations as part of the San Francisco Fashion Incubator.

DIARRABLU is a conscious contemporary lifestyle brand with a focus on practical and versatile pieces designed with math algorithms. The pieces are marked by minimalistic cuts, bold prints and colorful accents and the designs are convertible and adjustable across various sizes for a prolonged life cycle.

The collections are handcrafted in Dakar, Senegal by local artisan communities with a strong focus on human sustainability and circular design.
