90s trends are making a huge comeback! Street style stars are learning new and interesting ways to fit retro pieces into more modern wardrobes.

If the return of crop tops, chokers, and dungarees aren’t enough, you can find the proof you need in this collaboration between BellaStylista Lola Oj and UO Styling.

Below the stylist talks about which old trends to bring back and how to style them.

The 90s Tom Boy Style

The cycling shorts which is currently one of the biggest summer trends can be styled in a range of comfortable looks.

The second item which I call a staple piece everyone should have is the bum bag/fanny bag. I added the colourful hoody to bring that 90s colour vibe and to complete the comfortable look was the black Air Force 1.

Dungarees Street Style Swag

I went for one of the signature 90s items; Dungarees. Yep… this childhood staple has been resurrected and available in multiple styles for the season.

I styled this look with a cute crop top (another 90s essential) and matched it with cute block heels for that chic look. I accessorised the rest of the look with a bandana, and some BLING (gold statement necklace with hoops earrings) to complete the 90s look.

The Cowgirl Chic

This was my favourite of all 3 outfits. To match Lola’s statement blue hair, I went for a simple all black cowgirl chic bold look. The aim was to keep the focus on her hair whilst still maintaining the cowgirl swag. I styled a fishnet mesh top with denim knee-length fitted jeans as I was going for a 90s western look.

The staple piece was the ‘fedora hat’. This is another item everyone should have and can experiment within a range of colours. The hat was coupled with a 90s favourite which has also made a comeback, chokers. The look was finished off with clear block heels and one of my favourite 90s killer trend, ‘tiny tinted sunglasses’ which complimented Lola’s oval-shaped face beautifully. Food for thought: if you have an oval shaped face you are one of the lucky ones that can pretty much wear any shape of glasses!
