We can’t get over Adut Akech‘s latest runway appearance in the salt mountains of Camargue park in the South of France for Jacquemus‘s fall 2022 collection.
Between the mountains of salt, Jacquemus had carved out a runway that wound down a hillside. The models descended from the top of the mount, their trains whipping in the wind, their tulle veils blowing up into clouds, looking like extras in a Karl Lagerfeld costumed version of Dune.
The South Sudanese supermodel walked the runway in a uber-feminine flowy off-white number with spaghetti straps paired with brown strappy heels and chunky loop earrings.
Adut’s makeup is soft and natural matching the theme and ethos of the house as she wore her braids in a chic low ponytail.
According to Simon Porte Jacquemus, the founder of the fashion label,
I started working on the collection with the obsession to restart from nothing, like a white page.
