We are loving this Headwrap series by makeup artist Okere Chisom of Beautified. There is a cultural significance to the way headwraps are worn by African women and this editorial celebrates that along with the bond of womanhood.
Chisom said: Women should be strong together. Strong like steel, merry like the tinkling of chimes dancing in the wind.
For many, the head wrap is used as an ornamental head covering, fashion accessory, for functionality or religious gatherings in different settings, but each time signifies the pride of the African woman.
