We have all been drinking a lot this year. According to Google, there have been more searches on where to buy some booze in 2020. Surprised? We didn’t think so. 2020 has been the year you say to yourself “I need a drink” at least three times a day.

Amongst the many options, a glass of wine is probably the safest and healthiest way to go. Believe it or not, a glass of wine a day keeps the doctors away. It’s loaded with antioxidants, can help protect against heart disease and harmful inflammation. Whilst Red wine is arguably said to be best served at room temperature, Rosé and White wine are better served chilled. Did you know that serving wine at the right temperature can enhance or reduce the taste? This is because of their composition. We are not wine experts but we do know our wine and a warm white wine can taste like nasty syrup. No thanks.

A great way to relax at any time of the day is with a glass of wine. However, it can suddenly be ruined when it goes from chilled to room temperature before you’re done drinking it. An easy way to keep it chilled and not have to deal with it getting watered down is to add some frozen grapes into your glass. This is good with a bottle of wine that hasn’t had the chance to be chilled or for keeping a chilled glass of wine cooler for longer.

Put a handful of frozen grapes —about 7– into the glass and pour your wine. If it hasn’t been chilled before, it will take about three minutes for it to be cool. You don’t have to buy a whole pack of grapes to achieve this hack. Depending on the store, you can buy grapes in medium cups of N500-N600. Keep it frozen for use at any time.

Cheers to that!
