Lights. Camera. Action! From binge-worthy series to blockbuster movies, most main characters always have a signature drink. As a result, some of these drinks have become so popular, it’s woven into the fabric of our everyday lives. We all have a favourite scene from a movie or series. Historical classic or modern-day pop culture, you will find that there are very few scenes without some kind of food or drink. Here are five iconic drinks from the world of TV shows and movies that we have fallen in love with.

1. Cosmopolitan (Sex in the City)

Carrie Bradshaw, Manolos, Fashion and a Cosmopolitan. The hit TV show turned movie made Cosmo a household drink. Catching up with friends and sharing the latest gossip, you’ll find at least one person who orders a Cosmo. Served in a martini glass, this drink is made from vodka, orange liqueur, lime juice and a dash of cranberry.

2. Vodka Martini  (James Bond)

“Shaken, not stirred”, are infamous words by James Bond. You’ll be surprised to find you subconsciously say those words when thinking of a Martini. In a way you could say this is a hero’s drink—Bond always saves the day. Made with Vodka, Dry vermouth and garnished with olives, this drink is a classic any day.

3. Macallan 18 (Suits)

Every business deal was either celebrated, discussed or turned down over a Macallan 18. Harvey Specter, suave and sophisticated in his Tom Ford suits made this whisky one to try. The single malt whisky is aged for 18 years. It’s soft and rich with hints of spice, clove, orange and toasted mature oak.

4. Red Wine (Game of Thrones)

Wine was a popular feature in Game Of Thrones. Out of all the different kinds of wine, the Dornish red is the best. Trust Tyrion Lannister to fill us in with the details. The hit series launched a range of official Game of Thrones Wines made by award-winning winemaker Bob Cabral. The collection has four varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Blend, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The Red blend is rich and a must-try.

5. Champagne (The Great Gatsby)

“..where the Champagne never stops flowing and the party always goes past dawn”. No movie in pop culture has made Champagne more glamorous than The Great Gatsby. Bubbles of joy and laughter, a glass (or a few bottles) of champagne is always a great idea. Let’s not forget the iconic Leonardo Dicaprio toast that’s a meme for everything and anything these days.
