Nigerian womenswear brand Tishé has appointed a new Creative Director to take the lead in managing its design, branding and operations.

Adenike Adegboye, the new Creative Director, has previously been known for her mix of traditional textiles with western cuts at her own label.

In an official statement, the designer said:

This is a great way to continue to push forward the conversation on homegrown fabrics and talent to help build the fashion economy in Nigeria.

There is a tremendous opportunity to build something new on an already great foundation. I’m looking forward to bringing in my experience in sustainable fashion while maintaining the core values of Tishé

Work-wear, minimalism and clean lines are currently embedded in the Tishé stylebook, but the brand is positioning to shake things up even more. The value proposition stays the same – elegance and great fit.
