Dede Ashiogwu brought a welcome dose of sunshine to the Weiz Dhurm Franklyn presentation at Lagos Fashion Week 2026 and reminded us all of the enduring appeal of a beautifully draped dress.
Dressed in a striking lemon-yellow Grecian style goddess-inspired dress by the brand, Ashiogwu embraced a silhouette that was equal parts sensual and sophisticated. The asymmetric neckline swept elegantly across one shoulder, while intricate ruching cascaded down the length of the figure-skimming dress.
Oversized lime-green floral earrings offered an unexpected contrast, while a sculptural, pearl-like clutch introduced a playful, almost surrealist element. Matching yellow strappy sandals completed the ensemble, and her closely cropped pixie cut and understated makeup allowed the details to shine.
There was something wonderfully assured about the entire look. Ashiogwu demonstrated that making an entrance and a strong sense of personal style are more than enough.
