What makes a look a High Fashion Icon? For Prudential Atelier, it goes beyond a beautiful dress. It is about artistry, storytelling, craftsmanship and creating something that feels distinctly its own.

For BN20, the Nigerian fashion house selected five looks that embody that idea, from hand-painted gowns and reimagined tailoring to designs rooted in heritage and pieces that literally move.

Kiki Faminu

Styled by Style Infidel, the colour story is what catches you first. The harmony between the two hues keeps the look cohesive, while the sculptural structure brings in that unmistakable Prudential Atelier signature.

This one is iconic because every detail means something. The wrapper incorporates elements of the bride’s Enugu heritage, from yam festival references and firewood to cultural motifs and details inspired by the couple’s relationship. Even the beaded green-and-peach bodice, designed like a keyboard, carries their names and significant dates, making the garment deeply personal.

Bonang Matheba

Styled by Dahmola, this look is what happens when a classic pinstripe gets a Prudential Atelier makeover. Illusion detailing across the bust, an unexpected neckline and an impeccable fit come together to make a familiar fabric feel completely new.

Nelly Mbonu

This hand-painted gown is as much a work of art as it is a dress. Carefully mixed hues create the colour story, while the structured detailing behind it adds another layer of drama, taking the look far beyond a conventional gown.

Jarvis (Amadou Elizabeth)

Styled by Emmanuel Goodnews, this look was built entirely around Jarvis’ personality. The robotic concept comes to life through moving wheels, iron rods and radio chips incorporated into the garment. Here, the design goes beyond aesthetics, becoming a physical expression of the person wearing it.
