Every year, the Ojude Oba Festival transforms Ijebu-Ode into a breathtaking celebration of culture, tradition and style, and 2026 is already proving to be no different. Returning on Friday, 29 May, this year’s edition themed “Celebrating the Legacy of Oba Sikiru Adetona” brings together everything that has made the festival one of Nigeria’s most visually spectacular cultural events.

From the iconic regberegbe age-grade processions to the Balogun families arriving in grand fashion on beautifully adorned horses, Ojude Oba remains a powerful display of heritage, community and pride. But beyond the cultural significance, the festival has also become one of the biggest fashion moments on the Nigerian calendar, where rich aso-oke fabrics, intricate beadwork, regal gele styles and impeccably tailored agbadas take centre stage.

As thousands gather at the Itoro Centre in Ogun State, celebrities, socialites, style stars and culture lovers are already stepping out in looks worthy of the occasion. From coordinated family ensembles to bold contemporary takes on traditional dressing, the stars are truly turning up the style this year.
