Over the weekend, we saw Ayra Starr’s outfit for her performance in Ghana. She was wearing Look 42 from the LUAR SS26 collection, and it’s honestly a beauty to take in at once. Her stylist, Elly30, definitely went for something very bold and structural for this set.

The main part of the outfit is a black peplum top with a really deep neckline. It has a flared waist that makes the whole silhouette look super sharp. But the part we can’t stop looking at is the matching set. Both the pants and the huge opera coat have this yellow and black pattern that looks like rows of little teardrops. What’s even crazier is that the fabric has these tiny black spikes or “quills” sticking out of it everywhere. It gives the whole look a very textured, almost fuzzy vibe that we don’t see every day.
The coat is super long and has a bright gold lining on the inside, which adds a lot of drama when she moves. To keep the look from being too intense, we noticed she added a cute black bow in her hair. We like how this outfit mixes a fancy, dressed-up shape with these weird, experimental textures. It’s definitely not a basic choice, but we think it works because the tailoring is so clean.
In case you missed it, catch the looks!
