Over the weekend, Zlatan Ibile and Davita Omoniyi have shown us that a wedding wardrobe can tell a story of its own. From romantic pre-wedding portraits to two traditional looks celebrating their Edo and Yoruba heritage, the couple have given us plenty to admire.

With celebrity stylist Emmanuel Goodnews directing their wedding style, each appearance has brought something different to the table, with custom designs from Nigerian fashion brands completing the picture.

Here is a look at every outfit the couple wore, from their pre-wedding shoot to their traditional wedding celebrations.

The First Pre-Wedding Look

The countdown to their wedding began with a dreamy combination of blush pink and ice blue. Davita wore a custom gown by Lasosa By Pam Pam, while Zlatan stepped out in a bespoke suit by T.I Nathan.

Davita’s strapless gown featured a fitted, ruched bodice that flowed into a dramatic bubble-hem train in a contrasting pink shade. The silhouette balanced romance with a playful fashion-forward finish, while her diamond jewellery and sleek braided ponytail completed the look.

Zlatan complemented her in a light blue suit with a structured mandarin collar and relaxed wide-leg trousers. His dark glasses and polished shoes kept the look sharp without taking attention away from the coordinated colour palette.

Against a deep teal backdrop, the pastel shades stood out beautifully, while the couple’s portraits brought a romantic touch to the fashion story.

The Second Pre-Wedding Look

For their next pre-wedding appearance, the couple turned to Amy Aghomi for their outfits, with Emmanuel Goodnews Icon continuing as their stylist.

This look offered another opportunity to explore coordinated dressing ahead of the big day. Rather than treating their outfits as separate statements, the couple’s styling brought them together as a pair, keeping the focus on the overall presentation and the connection between their looks.

The Edo Traditional Wedding Look

For their first traditional wedding appearance, Zlatan and Davita celebrated her Edo heritage in a rich combination of burgundy and ivory. Davita wore a custom gown by House of Dova, while Zlatan’s outfit was by Deji & Kola.

Davita’s burgundy gown featured a sculpted corseted bodice, a sweetheart neckline, sheer sleeves and a sweeping train. Intricate red beadwork added texture and detail, giving the gown a regal finish. She completed the look with an Edo bridal Okuku crown, layered coral beads and a sheer red veil, alongside a traditional horsehair fly whisk.

Zlatan’s ivory ensemble complemented her beautifully. His look featured a cream robe layered with a textured coat, with red beadwork connecting his outfit to Davita’s. Coral beads, a matching traditional cap and a carved wooden staff completed the groom’s attire.

Styled by Emmanuel Goodnews Icon, the couple’s first traditional look was a celebration of culture through clothing, with the rich burgundy and ivory palette bringing the two outfits together.

The Yoruba Traditional Wedding Look

For their second traditional appearance, the couple switched to a softer colour palette of lemon yellow and mint green, celebrating Zlatan’s Yoruba heritage. Both outfits were custom creations by Mazelle Bridal, with Emmanuel Goodnews Icon styling the couple.

Davita wore a lemon-yellow bridal outfit featuring a sculpted corset-style bodice, long sleeves with flared cuffs and intricate mint-green appliqué across the bodice and fitted skirt. Her pleated gele, sheer draping, statement jewellery and matching accessories completed the ensemble.

Zlatan coordinated in a mint-green agbada with subtle embroidery across the chest. A matching fila, layered white beads and a carved green walking stick added the finishing touches.

The colour combination felt fresh while remaining firmly rooted in the occasion. Following the rich burgundy and ivory of their Edo look, the lemon yellow and mint green offered a different mood without losing the sense of coordination that ran through the couple’s wedding wardrobe.

After Party Looks

For the after-party, Davita changed into a look by Rear by Angel, while Zlatan wore T.I Nathan. The outfit change brought another fashion moment to the couple’s wedding celebrations, giving them a fresh look for the festivities after their traditional ceremonies. With both designers adding their touch to the occasion, the couple rounded off their wedding wardrobe with one more appearance worth noting.

A Wedding Wardrobe That Celebrates Two Cultures

From the pastel pre-wedding portraits to the elaborate traditional ensembles, Zlatan and Davita’s wedding fashion has moved through different moods while keeping the couple at the centre of the story.

Lasosa By Pam Pam, T.I Nathan, Amy Aghomi, House of Dova, Deji & Kola and Mazelle Bridal each played a part in the wardrobe, while Emmanuel Goodnews Icon brought the looks together through his styling direction.

Most importantly, the two traditional appearances gave the couple an opportunity to honour both Edo and Yoruba heritage. It was a reminder that wedding fashion can be about more than the clothes themselves. It can also celebrate family, identity and the traditions that make a couple’s story their own.

And with every outfit change, Zlatan and Davita gave us another reason to keep looking.
