When it comes to the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards red carpet, few people understand spectacle quite like Nana Akua Addo. The Ghanaian style star has become an AMVCA regular over the years, consistently delivering fashion moments that live far beyond the event itself. Last year, her rotating dress dominated conversations for months after the ceremony ended, cementing her reputation as one of the most fearless dressers on the carpet.
This year, she returned with not one, not two, but three elaborate fashion statements that once again proved she sees fashion as performance art.
Look One: “In My Mother’s House, I Am a Queen”
For her first appearance, Nana Akua stepped into full architectural fantasy. The dramatic castle-inspired dress looked like something pulled straight out of a mythical kingdom, complete with sculptural detailing that transformed her into royalty on the carpet. Taking to Instagram, she described the look with the words: “In my Mother’s House AMVCA AM A QUEEN ‘Architectural’.”
And honestly, that description fits perfectly. The look blurred the line between couture and structure, making her appear less like a guest and more like the centrepiece of the evening.
The team behind the masterpiece included stylist Styled by NK, costume designer Abbaswoman.ng, photographer Edos Artistry, makeup artist Forteglamour, hairstylist DPM Hair Studio NG, videographer The Ken Dave, and artist IGeraldArts.

Look Two: Saturn, Spirals and Sea Life
If the first look was regal, the second leaned fully into fantasy. Nana Akua appeared in a striking spiral blue dress featuring ring-like structures reminiscent of Saturn, complete with fish detailing woven into the design. The outfit felt futuristic, surreal, and almost aquatic, like a fashion interpretation of another universe.
Created by designer Srushti Patil, the look once again showed her willingness to embrace unconventional silhouettes and storytelling through fashion. Makeup was done by Ron Makeover Studio, while Toniegrapher captured the final imagery.

Look Three: “The Living Stone”
For her final reveal, Nana Akua embraced earthy textures with a look she called “THE LIVING STONE.” And yes, the dress was made from actual stone.
The sculptural piece carried volcanic, rock-like textures that made her look almost carved out of the earth itself. It was raw, dramatic, and unlike anything else on the carpet. Once again created by Abbaswoman.ng, the look was photographed by Edos Artistry, with painted details by IGeraldArts and hair by DPM Hair Studio NG.

Three looks in, and Nana Akua Addo has once again reminded everyone that at the AMVCAs, fashion is not just about dressing up. It is about creating moments people will keep talking about long after the lights go out.
