Amaka Osakwe presented her Spring/Summer 2019 collection for her brand Maki Oh at NYFW 2018. The pieces which were made in collaboration with Adire Ogun once again stayed true to the brand’s proudly African aesthetics and were inspired by local bukas.

As usual, the designer plays with irregularly hemmed skirts and dresses while she injected streetwise T-shirts and a bit of gender fluidity as diverse models strutted down during the runway to the Fuji music played in the background.

Before the show, we caught a glimpse of the new collection with the sneak peeks shared on Instagram; low brow pure water and market nylon bags very familiar to Nigerians.
